The Qubicon AI Chatbot is an LLM-powered chatbot that generates bioprocess scripts for Qubicon Platform users, streamlining workflow automation and reducing manual errors. It is designed to be used by non-technical users (lab scientists) to generate scripts that perform complex calculations on sensors, and control processes, which are specific to the Qubicon platform's scripting requirements.
Challenge
Many customers lacked technical capacity to leverage Qubicon’s functionality of implementing code within the platform. Qubicon uses a specific language (Jython) and requires the use of custom-built Qubicon functions and frameworks to implement working scripts. Documentation did not exist for writing scripts in Qubicon's requirements and it was inefficient to train customers to write scripts for their bioprocess workflows. The scripts were built manually by Qubicon employees, which was time-consuming and costly.
Solution
I developed a custom-trained LLM-based chatbot that can generate bioprocess scripts for Qubicon Platform users, streamlining workflow automation and reducing manual errors. The system was optimized using fine-tuning and advanced prompt engineering strategies to generate scripts that are compatible with Qubicon's platform and meet the needs of non-technical users.
Results
The Qubicon AI Chatbot has been successfully deployed and is generating bioprocess scripts for Qubicon Platform users, streamlining workflow automation and reducing manual errors.
